Jacqueline Porter is one of Australia’s most versatile young artists.
Equally at home on the operatic stage and the concert platform, she has been a principal artist for Victorian Opera and appears regularly as a soloist with the major orchestras and chorales in Australia. She has worked with celebrated conductors such as Sir Neville Marriner, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Oleg Caetani and Markus Stenz and her recitals and concerts are frequently broadcast on ABC Classic FM.
Jacqueline is the 2010 recipient of the Dame Nellie Melba Opera Trust Scholarship and was selected as the sole Australian to compete in the Hans Gabor Belvedere International Singing Competition in Vienna, Austria, supported by the Apex Foundation.
She has appeared on the popular ABC television show, Spicks and Specks, and recently made her debut with State Opera of South Australia as Gretel in Hansel and Gretel.
In 2012 Jacqueline performed the role of Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro for Victorian Opera and appeared as a guest artist with the Melbourne, Tasmanian and Sydney Symphony Orchestras.
